Second event of the Webinar Wednesday series of the MidAtlantic AETC, new LGBTQIA+ Summer Series:

LGBTQIA+ Friendly Certified Healthcare Services

This is the second event in the MidAtlantic AETC's summer virtual event series focusing on the LGBTQIA+ communities. These 90 minute zoom sessions on Wednesdays in June, July, and August will explore provider self-care, trauma, stigma, HIV, and race in LGBTQIA+ communities and LGBTQIA+ identifying healthcare professionals. Other featured topics will include HIV prevention and LGBTQIA+ competency in healthcare settings.

By the end of this event, participants will be able to identify who is represented in the LGBTQIA+ Communities, describe areas for improvement in care for the LGBTQIA+ population, and discuss base techniques to improve rapport with LGBTQIA+ patients.
